Exchanged Church is a church focused on Scripture. We do not adhere to either the “conservative” or “liberal” label. We accept Scripture as written. We strive for understanding. We seek to live righteous lives.

Everyone is welcome to attend. We seek to extend grace to all.

However, we focus on moving away from a sinful life of the flesh and toward the freedom found in being a slave of righteousness.

Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
– Romans 6:16-18 (NIV)

If members of our church turn toward living a sinful life, we intend to confront them, hold them accountable and guide them back to a more righteous path.

“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.”
– Matthew 18:15-17 (NIV)

We all sin. It is part of our existence in this fallen world. But, if you have chosen to live a life of the flesh, and have no desire to turn from sinful behaviour, or if you disagree with Scripture, then you might not be comfortable at Exchanged Church.

For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
– Galations 5:17 (NIV)
