BACKGROUND

Exchanged Church is partnering with an ad-hoc collection of good hearted individuals that have risen up in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. These individuals are working person to person, bypassing the barriers of governmental organizations. They are working with churches and local communities in the areas devastated by Hurricane Helene.

Many individuals and organizations have been incredibly generous with material donations, but occasionally there are items for which donations are unavailable. In the mean time, we are asking for donations to cover the cost of purchasing necessities for those without power, running water, heat, cell service and / or internet. In some areas of the mountains it may take more than a year to restore power. This crisis is not over. It will not be over for some time to come.

Your generous donations are greatly appreciated. We promise to be faithful stewards of the money you donate. To that end Exchanged Church makes that following commitment: 100% of monies donated will be used to purchase necessary supplies and services for the people of western North Carolina.

  • None of the money donated to the “Western North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund” will be used by Exchanged Church
  • None of the money donated will be used to pay personnel or cover expenses for volunteers
  • We will work hard to provide a full accounting of the money spent. A report will be published on this page at a later date

If you do not wish to donate using this online tool, you may send a check or money order (please do not send cash) to:

Exchanged Church
PO Box 99385
Raleigh, NC 27624

Please indicate the donation is for the “WNC Relief Fund”

Clicking on a “Donate” button above will open a new window in your browser. We use a third party company (Secure Give) to process all donations. Secure Give charges Exchanged Church $99.00/month and a fee for each transaction. The transaction cost is based on the type of card used: Debit Card: 1.75% + 30¢ | Credit Card: 2.5% + 30¢ These rates are among the lowest transaction cost in the industry. We will continue to review these costs to keep them as low as possible while providing flexibility in giving.

Exchanged Church is a North Carolina nonprofit corporation. We have been granted a 501(c)(3) status by the IRS. Confirmation letter from the IRS can be viewed here.
